It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Lester Pittman of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Bogart, Georgia, who passed away on December 26, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Johnson Allen and Avise Allen (Cartey); her siblings, Henry Allen and Sarah Allen; her husbands, Carlton Lester and William Pittman; and her daughter Barbara Lester Hanes Griffin.

She is survived by: her brother Auto Body; her son James; her daughter-in-law Vicki Lester; her grandchildren, David, Elaina Lester, Mark, Sunita Lester, Kris, Mandy Boggs, Brock, Natalie Hanes, Grant Bryant, Blake Bryant, Christian McManus and Rachel Cutcher (Brandon); and her great great grandchildren, Liam Bryant and Noah Cutcher.
