She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stephens and Odessa Stephens (Bailey); and her siblings, David Stephens and Ruthine Moon. She is survived by: her husband Richard Thompson; her sons, Dawon Thompson and Marty Thompson (Shemila); her granddaughters, Iriana Thompson and Amarya Crane; her stepgranddaughter Shatora Butler; her mother-in-law Annie B. Thompson; her siblings, Betty Maxey (Gary), Donald Stephens and Mike Stephens (Vivian); and her pet Kloe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
