She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezell Cox and Martha Cox; her husband Larry; her sister Gloria Ann Cox; and her niece Heather Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Mickey Heard (Christy) and Casey McKowen; her grandchildren, Skyler Tavenier and Carly McAtee; her siblings, Paula Shadburn (Danny), Lynn Cox (Julie), Letha Grizzle (late Donald) and Linda Warren (Steve); and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Caine (Ricky) and Jerry Heard (Lou).
