She was predeceased by: her husband C. S. "Buster" Horton, Jr.; and her parents, Arthur McBrayer and Eva Morgan McBrayer. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Pittman (Neil), Buddy DuVall (Leigh Jones) and Bill DuVall (Stephany); her grandchildren, Mary-Katherine Drescher (Nicholas), Elizabeth White (Taylor), Zachary Jones of Washington, D. C, Lauren Jones, Amanda Baird (Jacob), Maggie Kelly (Shea), Sara Miller (Brad), Grayson, Stephen DuVall and Jana Horton Unterreiner (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Avery, Maelynn Drescher, Maxton White, Annie, Olivia, Noah Baird, Lionel Kelly, Zane Colby and Wakelyn Unterreiner; her siblings, Leila Hagar and Richard McBrayer (Kathryn); and her stepson David Horton (Nancy).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions in "Memory of Marilyn Horton" be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 404 Washington St NW, Gainesville GA 30501.
