He is survived by: his children, Gary Avants (Laura) of Menifee, CA, Ronald Avants (Kaysi) of Moreno Valley, CA, James Howard of Gainesville, GA, Gerry Howard of Gainesville, GA, Joe Howard of Bullhead City, AR, David Felt of Winder, GA, Melinda Hunsicker of Nuevo, CA, Trish Redfern (Tom) of Buford, GA, Leila Tyner (Jeff) of Gainesville, GA and Brittany Howard of Surprise, AR; and his siblings, Dan Avants (Kathy) of Yorba Linda, CA, Suzanne Gilbert of Clovis, CA, Yvonne Bon of Los Angeles, CA and Tami Avants of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
