He is survived by: his wife Brenda McCook Preiss of Gainesville; his daughter Cherie Schmitt; his son-in-law John Schmitt of Chicago, Ill.; his son Larry Preiss, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lindsey Preiss of Conyers; his grandchildren, Taylor, John L., Connor Schmitt, Devon, Alexandra Silvey and Grant Preiss; his mother Betty Jo Preiss of Savannah; and his siblings, Lester Preiss, Raymond Preiss, Leslie Yardley, Brian Preiss and Bruce Preiss.
