With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Childers of Gainesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Archer and Clara Mae Archer (Wright); her husband James Richard Childers, Sr.; her sons, Robert Joseph Childers, James Richard Childers, Jr. and William Childers; and her grandchildren, Casey M. Johnson and Richie Childers.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Tatum (Ricky), Shirley Johnson (Thomas) and Eddie Childers; and her grandchildren, Melissa, Rachel, Ashley, Michael, Morgan, Katie and Kyle. She is also survived by great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the WHEELER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services (11405 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30016).
