He was predeceased by: his brothers, Herbert Garrett and Marcus Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Maerell Garrett of Gainesville; his daughter Gina Hale (Bill) of Covington; his stepchildren, Margaret Sheppard (David) of Monticello and Timothy Jordan of Gainesville; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Garrett of Dawsonville. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
