He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" and Eleanor Bridges Carder; his wife Gearldine Ward Carder; and his siblings, James Carder Jr. and Imogene Shelnut.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janie Kemp of Gainesville, Kathleen Acrey (Richard) of Gainesville and Luke Carder (Martha) of Dahlonega; his daughter Pam Welch (Bobby) of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Michael Welch (Casey) of Clermont and Jennifer Whisnant (Jason) of Clermont; and his great grandchildren, Austin Welch of Flowery Branch, Kelsey Welch of Flowery Branch, Brittany Martin, CJ Whisnant of Clermont, Abby Whisnant of Clermont and Landen Welch of Clermont. He is also survived by great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
