He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Smith Jr. and Mable Rice Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Foster Smith; his daughters, Celia D. Fisher and Constance R. Smith; and his grandsons, Scott, Robert Tenney, Jonathan T. Fisher and Robert C. Fisher III.
