He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell D. Nesbitt and Mary Butler Nesbitt; his brother William; and his brothers-in-law, William Tovell, William Parke and Edwin Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Tovell; his siblings, Molly Parke (Nancy Cole) and Thomas Nesbitt (Marigene); his children, Ann Weber (William), John Peter Nesbitt, Jr. (Jennifer) and Montana; his grandchildren, John Robert Jenkins (Cierra), John Thomas Nesbitt and Juliana Catherine Nesbitt; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Tovell and Cindy Nesbitt.
