It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe White of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Summey Lenoir White and Nelle Celeste Long; his child Rosean; his brothers, Ben White and Steve White; his sons, Randy White (Gail) and Ben White (Kim); and his grandchildren, Joe White (Allie), Russell White (Sarah), Matt Lehr (Shannon), Drew Lehr, Mary White Bononato (Rafa), Emily White Amack (Nate) and Susie White.

“Barry, Rachel and I send our sincere sympathy on the loss of Joe. We will never forget the kindness he and Betty showed to Freddie when he arrived in Gainesville as a ‘greenhorn’ to learn the ropes of running a hatchery. In the years that followed Freddie & I never came to Gainesville without getting in touch with Joe and Betty, and spent many happy hours with them, both in the US and in Barbados. Joe was, indeed, a gentle giant. We will always remember him. Katy Gale & family, Barbados.”
