We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2025, at the age of 81, Joan Ellen Barnes (Gainesville, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Barnes; her sons, Charles and Timmy Barnes; her parents, Blanche Carney and Ernest Carney; and her grandsons, Bryan and Eric Barnes.

She is survived by: her son Glenn Barnes; and her grandsons, Zachary and Andrew. She is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital at http://www.stjude.org or a charity of your choice.
