It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Russell Lewis of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert F. Lewis and Bessie Lewis (Minish). He is survived by: his wife Montene M. Lewis; his children, Scott R. Lewis (Allyson) and Karen Filchak (Scott); his grandchildren, Jason Lewis (Ashley), Josh Lewis (Stacey), Ben Filchak (Caroline), Katherine Porter (Sky) and Stephen Langford; his great grandchildren, Lyndsay Lewis, Landon Lewis, Jackson Lewis, Caroline Lewis, Thomas Filchak, Hope Filchak, Bennett Porter and Beckham Porter; and his sister Laura J. Delong.
