He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Homer Leigh and Catherine Parkes Leigh; and his brother John Wallace Leigh. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Ferguson Leigh; his sons, James Homer Leigh, III (Mollie) and Edward Vantrease Leigh (Katherine); his grandchildren, James IV, Mary Lillian, Edward Jr., Wallace and Elliott Leigh; and his siblings, Judy (Bert Tingle) and Joe Nick (Renee Leigh). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
