He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Mae Lemely Barnes; and his brothers, Everett Barnes, Doug Barnes and Ricky Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Edwards Barnes of Gainesville; his children, Jami, Andrew Holcomb of Jefferson, Georgia, Scott and Sue Barnes of Gaylord; his grandchildren, Morrison Barnes, Ella Rose "Rosie" Holcomb and Ava Mae Holcomb; and his sisters, Betty Vaughn (Jerry) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Kathy Jackson (Mike) of Douglasville and Bonnie Barnes of Fayetteville. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
