He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Pierce of Gainesville, GA; his daughter Misti; his son-in-law Todd Sheriff of Lula, GA; his son Joseph "Jody" Pierce (Beck); his sister Becky; his brother-in-law Charlie Whitlock of White County, GA; his grandchildren, Tony Cole Sheriff, Brelan Leanne Pierce Ward and Caylee Brooke Pierce; and his great grandchild Ava.
