He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Seay Capps and Lawrence Lee Capps. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his daughter Cathryn Capps Auffarth (Bradley Auffarth) of Gainesville; and his granddaughters, Margaret Ruth "Maggie" Auffarth, Alison Lee "Ali" Auffarth and Ava Yvonne Bergeron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
