In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. George Willis Hammond and Ruth Smith Hammond of Newnan, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Haynie Hammond of Gainesville; his daughter Karen (John); his granddaughter Lisa Teel (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Tucker of Newnan, Elle Teel of Newnan and Jackson Teel of Newnan.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church (2780 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to the Gainesville First United Methodist Church, 2780 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30506 in memory of Mr. Hammond.
