He was predeceased by: his brothers, Harold Smith and Rod Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith; his daughter Terri Johnston; his son-in-law Larry Johnston; his son Kevin Smith; his grandchildren, Wally Smith, Katie Dunn, Clay Smith, Lyndsey Smith, Mary Beth, Christopher Smith and Parker Smith; his great grandchildren, Meredith Rogers, Jude Rogers and Pearl Smith; his sister Rebecca Ingram; and his sister-in-law Andrea Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
