He was predeceased by: his father James C. Hawes Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Helen Thomas; his fiancée Annie Austin; his brother James Hawes (Jennifer) of Gainesville; and his children, Rico Hawes, Justin Hawes (Tonya) and Kendra Merck (Paul). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
