He was predeceased by: his mother Katie Murphy; his wife LaVaughn Harris Murphy; his son David Roger Murphy; and his siblings, Clarence Murphy, Ernest Murphy, Charlie Murphy, Louis Murphy, Lola Mae Burnett, Gladys Smith and Betty Canup.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda Crymes of Gainesville and Lamar Murphy of Royston; his brother Robert Murphy of Chestnut Mountain; his grandchildren, Christopher Hunter, Carmen Hunter, Wesley Wright, Levi Wright, Grady CJ Murphy and Sidney Latrell Everts; and his great grandchildren, Maci Lee Hunter, Makayla Hunter, Christopher Hunter, Clayton Hunter, Cadence Everts and Caston Everts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
