It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Everett Hope of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Cumming, Georgia, who passed away on August 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tilman and Ethel White Hope; his wife Lois Little Hope; and his sister Faye Turk. He is survived by: his brother Austin Hope of Port St; his sons, Walter (Sharon) of Gainesville and David (Royia) of Flowery Branch; his stepdaughters, Rosemary Bates (Jeb) of Gainesville and Cindy Haynes Clark of Hilton Head; and his grandchildren, Taylor Leighton (Wil) of Alpharetta, Madeline Krilla (Kirk) of Flowery Branch, Parker Hope of Atlanta, Braxton (Tristan) of Monticello, Catherine Sorenson (Hans) of Monticello, Jay Bates (Brooke) of Braselton, Georgia, Daniel Bates of Atlanta, Meredith McWhirter (John) of Atlanta and Nathan Hope of Flowery Branch. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Ministry of Caring and Sharing, 751 Green St. S.W., Gainesvile, GA. in memory of Mr. Hope.
