She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt Namen Samples and Minerva Jane Grizzle Samples; her husband Robert L. Pethel; and her siblings, Mildred Adams, Louise Brown, Dorothy Sheriff and Jerry Samples.
She is survived by: her sons, Brett (Joy Pethel) and Bart (Melony Pethel); her siblings, Elaine Magnus of Gillsville, Pascal Samples of Gainesville and Kenneth Samples of Lula; and her grandchildren, Brannon Hayden Pethel and Matthew Brett Pethel.
