We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2020, at the age of 86, Eva Mae Burgess (Gainesville, Georgia), born in Buford, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Thompson and Ozie Goss Thompson; her son Mark Burgess; her sister Gertrude Langford; and her son-in-law Keith Boyd.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Jack Burgess of Gainesville; and her children, Elaine Carden (Danny), Marsha Boyd Carter (John Carter), Steve Burgess (Rosie) and Kevin Burgess (Debra). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister.
The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 2:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. Due to the current pandemic this will be a drop in visitation with a maximum of 10 people in the parlor at any time.
