It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Nease Hawkins Abernathy of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband J. Bradley Abernathy; her parents, James Harrison Nease and Lena Ruth Harkey Nease; and her sister Johnna Nease Cannon (Gary). She is survived by: her husband Lee Hawkins; her children, Ben Hawkins (Suzie), Elizabeth Hawkins Lebow (Mike), Jim Hawkins and Charlie Hawkins, Sr. (Abby); her stepchildren, Brad Abernathy (Jill) and Stacey Abernathy Roberts (David); her grandchildren, Anne Hawkins, Benny Hawkins, Jane Hawkins, Edward Hawkins, Charlie Hawkins, Jr., Lucy Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, James Michael Lebow, Sadie Abernathy, Kate Abernathy, Emily Roberts, Maggie Roberts, Nathan Lebow and Joey Lebow; and her nieces and nephews, Kelly Cannon, Chip Cannon (Elizabeth) and Seth Cannon (Beth).
