She was predeceased by: her parent Hoyt Smith; her sister Louise Walker; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Walker, Guy Russell Boleman Jr. and Bruce Smith.
She is survived by: her parent Mattie Smith of Gainesville; her sisters, Allice Smith Boleman of New Bern, N. C. and Grace Smith (Smith); her siblings-in-law, Betty Sue, Robert "Bob" Thompson, Tifton, Mary and Herb McClure; her close friends, Michael Turner and Linda Turner; her nieces, Cindy Campbell (Boleman), Gene Campbell of Oriental, N. C., Greta Schrock (Smith), Dick Schrock, Beth Mahan (Thompson), Martin Mahan and Wake Forest; and also, Carolyn Morse and Herb McClure.
Edith's nephews are as follows: Guy Russell and Gayle Boleman III, Virginia Beach, Va., Danny and Shawn Smith, Gulf Breeze, Fla., Keith Walker, Pine Hurst, N.C., Bryan and Barbara Thompson, Oglethorpe, Blake Thompson, Sautee, Woody and Lisa Wilkins, Flowery Branch, Lt. Mitch and Lynn Wilkins, Atlanta; nieces, Cindy (Boleman) and Gene Campbell, Oriental, N.C., Greta (Smith) and Dick Schrock, Findley, Ohio, Beth (Thompson) and Martin Mahan, Wake Forest, N.C. Edith was a giver, giving to many charities, and requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to your favorite ones.
