She was predeceased by: her mother Nancy Argo Jones; and her daughter Ashley Hatcher. She is survived by: her father Homer Jones; her husband Julius Wilson Kemp II; her sons, Jeffery Hatcher (Alyssa), Henry Hatcher (Amber) and James Schandera (Ashleigh); and her siblings, Becky Parker, Nancy Whitfield, Susan Jones, Patricia Garrison, Donna Foster and Gregory H Jones. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
