She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Burtz and Artie Burtz; her brother Ray; her sister-in-law Flora Burtz; her sister Daisy; her brother-in-law Harold Whiting; and her daughter-in-law Cyndi Freeman.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence G. Freeman; her sons, Gregory (Glenda Freeman), Terry Freeman of Winston and Rick (Paula Freeman); her grandchildren, Emily Reed (Robbie) of Austin, Hollis Reardon (Michael) of Houston, TX, Anice Watson (Jonathan) of Knoxville, TN., Christopher Freeman (Nicki) of Charlotte, NC and Wren Freeman of Bryson City, NC.; her great grandchildren, Betsy, Molly Reed, Grayson, Olivia Freeman and Archie Joe Watson; and her sisters-in-law, Florene Shore and Barbara Freeman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
