With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Lee Tatum of Gainesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 85. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Dorothy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailey Joe and Gertie Mae Patterson; her husband Fate Tatum (Doc); and her son Freddie Tatum. She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Tatum (Anita Tatum), Charley Tatum (Celeste Tatum) and Lamar Tatum (Christy Tatum); and her siblings, Joann Ortez, Rethil Allison and Bill Patterson. She is also survived by 19 grandkids, numerous great grandkids and great-great grandkids.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home (355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
