She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Atteridge and Frances Atteridge of Lake Forest; her brother Glenn; her former husband Merlin A. Hartlett; her son Jeffrey Charles (Jeff); her husband Charles E. Whalen; her children, William Henry, Margie Ketria (Kitty), Charles E Whalen (Gus), Susan Wood Swain (David) and Bill Whalen (Megan); her stepchildren, Molly Bastion, Ketria Huggard (Al), Gus Whalen (Nell) and Margie Whalen; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Whalen Anderson (Stuart), Kelsey Whalen Avery (Justin), Jeffrey Atteridge Wood (Marsha) and Collin Patrick Whalen; her stepgrandchildren, Elaine Huggard Hershey (John), Katie Erickson (Jay), Franklin Huggard (Marie), Charles Whalen and Maryanne Whalen Campion (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Brooks Anderson, Oaklyn Avery, Charlotte Rose Wood and Teagyn Avery; and her stepgrandsons, Andrew Huggard, Ben Huggard, Mason Campion and Emory Campion.
