It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Carter Owen of Gainesville, Georgia, born in McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gus and Bessie Smith Carter; her brothers, Gary and Neal; and her friend Barbara Reed of Gadsden, AL..
She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Mark Owen (Michele) of Gainesville and Kathy Owen of Newnan; her grandchildren, Robert Norton, Jr. (Catherine) of Denver, CO, Kate Norton Wren (Bo) of Newnan, Maggie Norton Tomberlin (Shawn) of Alpharetta, David Owen (Brittany) of Gainesville and Jennifer Owen Fuller (Mark) of Gainesville; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Carter of Kokomo, IN and Dr. R. Glen Owen (Christie) of Augusta.
