He was predeceased by: his father Grady Homer Sexton; his son Jeremy David Sexton; his sisters, Elaine Sexton Joy and Ann Sexton James; his son-in-law Brian Tucker; and his stepfather William Ivy Capps, Sr..
He is survived by: his mother Helen Watson Capps of Oakwood; his daughters, Angela Sexton Tucker of Columbus and Staci Sexton of Albany; and his brothers, Larry Sexton of Rome, Stanley Sexton (Elaine) of Gainesville, Danny Sexton (Karin) of Gainesville and Ivy Capps.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to the DAV of America or Wounded Warrior's of America in memory of David.
