He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ray and Clara Mae Ransom (White); his son Kris Ransom; his sister Linda Montgomery; and his nephew Stuart Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Carol McClure; his daughter Bree; his son-in-law Hammond Law; his grandsons, Ford Ransom of Gainesville and Ray Ransom of Gainesville; his sister Vicki Martin of Bethlehem; his nephews, Kip Montgomery (Stacey) of Orlando, FL, Jeff Martin of Dahlonega, GA and Tim Martin of Bethlehem, GA; his great-niece Emma Grace Martin of Atlanta, GA; and his brothers-in-law, Morris McClure (Charlotte) and Allen McClure.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 2235 Thompson Bridge Road Gainesville, GA 3050 or to Rock Creek Vietnam Veterans Group, P.O. Box 3186, Gainesville, Georgia 30603.
