It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Britt of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gid L. Smith and Vivian Johnson Smith; her husband James Early Britt; her brother Herbert; her sister-in-law LaVerne Smith; and her brother Doyle Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Britt (Kathy) of Monticello, Dianne Parker (Bill) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Barbara Clyburn (Jim) of Gainesville, Carol Britt of Gainesville and Kathy Lee of Tampa; her sister Jo Shaw of Gainesville; her sister-in-law Rita Smith of Prattville, AL; and her grandchildren, Christine Bullard, Stephanie Bullard, Darren Lee (Brittany), Scott Clyburn (Laura), Brandon Lee, Wesley Britt, James Bullard, Caroline Davis (Ryan), Bevan Lee (Michelle), Michele McKibbon (JB) and Shelby Britt. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
