He was predeceased by: his father El Strickland; his grandfather Maynard Yank Brown (Katherine); and his mother Mary Elizabeth Brown Strickland. He is survived by: his daughter Kennedy Strickland; his brother Michael Strickland (Octavia); his niece Ivy Grace Strickland; and his close friends, Pacer Ware, Tony Jackson, Keith Cantrell and Bobby Cornette.
