With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Ray Benefield of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on February 22, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. R. Benefield and Grace Benefield of Chestnut Mountain; and his brother Harold M. Benefield. He is survived by: his wife Mary Allison Benefield; his son Jeffery Alan Benefield; his daughter-in-law Tamara James Benefield; his grandchildren, Alli Benefield Curry (Stephen), Ansley Benefield Wilson (Josh), A. J. Benefield (Carly) and Adam Ray Benefield; his great grandchildren, Banks Curry, Harper Wilson, Beau Wilson, Lance Wilson, Maddy Wilson, Kingsley Wilson of Sawyer Wilson, S. J and Riggins Ray Benefield; his sister-in-law Jeanette Benefield; his niece Becky Vinson; his great-niece Katelyn; his great-nephew Peyton Vinson; and his close friends, Walter Byrd and Joe Braselton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice.
