With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Sewell of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2024 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Monday and Pauline Monday; her former husband Charles Sewell; her husband Floyd Smith; her sister Peggy; her brother-in-law Jake Casey; her brother Jack (Betty Monday); and her siblings-in-law, Eleanor and Jim Garner of Alpharetta, Georgia..
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy; her son-in-law Dan Garner; her daughters, Dawn Sewell (Georgia) of Gainesville and Karen; her son-in-law Neil Naples of Vero Beach; and her grandchildren, Kim, Michael Williams of Evans, GA, Stephanie of Gainesville, GA, Phillip Marsh of Gainesville, GA, Dona Price of Gainesville, GA, Dana of Gainesville, GA, Terry Carr of Gainesville, GA, Carla, Jeff Meehan of Bogart, GA and Scott Moore of Thomson, GA. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home (355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
