It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Highsmith of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Cleveland, Georgia, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nell Kenimer Telford and James Harvey Telford (Jim). She is survived by: her children, David, Carol Highsmith of Greenville, SC, Sue, Steve Delaney of Woodstock, GA, Bucky and Lee Highsmith of Gainesville, GA.; her grandchildren, Katie, Nathan Crumley of Gainesville, Stephen, Marissa Delaney of Newnan, GA, Drew, Jenny Highsmith of Powder Springs, GA, Brian Highsmith of Princeton, NJ, Kenimer Highsmith of Athens, GA, Suzanne, Jim Kelly of Nashville, TN, Eric Highsmith of Greenville, SC, Maggie, Sean Williams of Woodstock, GA, Angie, Joe Kennedy of Gainesville, GA and Ginnie Highsmith of Gainesville, GA.; her brother Gordon Telford of Toccoa, GA; and her sister-in-law Lois Johnson of Cleveland, GA.. She is also survived by her three children and their spouses, ten grandchildren and their spouses, and 11 great-grandchildren.
