She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Franklin Hawkins; her daughter Paige Hawkins Martin; her parents, Betty "Beppy" French Weems and Cecil Arthur Weems; her parents-in-law, Blonnie Mae Buffington and Edgar Hawkins; her sister JoAnn Weems Cain; her brother-in-law Donald Cain; and her granddaughter Madalyn Martin.
She is survived by: her daughter Eve Sartain; her sons-in-law, Daniel Sartain and Jerry Martin; her brothers, Ronnie Pittman, John Snell and Bill Snell; her grandchildren, Brittni Curtis, Chelsey Potts (Kyle), Dallas Sage (Chad), Charlie Parks (Erin) and Darci Fleming (Tommy); and her great grandchildren, Katy Paige, Parker, McCoy, Madelyn, Thomas, Tre, Hart, Deasley, Della, Carter and Hudson. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, extended family and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church (2780 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Betty Weems Nursing Scholarship at Brenau University or in Paige's honor to the GFUMC Preschool Program (2780 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506).
