It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Elizabeth Harkins of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Moore and Minnie Hortense Miller Moore; her husband Leonard Harkins; and her siblings, J. D., Bob, Terry, Clyde, Albert, Junior, Ruby Nell Smith and Blonnie Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Shubert of Gainesville, Peggy Tanner (Larry) of Buford, Carolyn Parks (Donnie) of Gainesville, Dianne Gaddy, Smith (Randy) of Gainesville, Donna Kemp (Robin) of Flowery Branch, Lenny Harkins of Gainesville and Chris Harkins of Oakwood; and her sister Ann Moore of Gainesville. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
