She was predeceased by: the father of her children W. W. Phagan; her husband Joseph A. Tidwell; her son Steven Duane Phagan; and her siblings, Verner L. Smith (Ruth), Paul C. Smith (Jessie Lee) and Erma Mae Delong (Guy) of Pearl, MS..
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Garrison of Gainesville and Glen; her daughter-in-law Glenda Phagan of Dahlonega; her daughter Paula Corvo of Gainesville; and her friend Jackie Hawkins of Clarkesville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren,; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
