It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aleta Ann Thompson Herring (Gainesville, Georgia), who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Carol Sue Hood Scruggs of Gainesville Georgia; her sister Sharon Hood; and her uncle Jerry Hood. She is survived by: her parent Harley Edward Thompson; her husband Benjamin Herring (Duke); her sons, Jacques Sandford (Trisha) of Winder and Marquez Sanford (Tamiko) of Gainesville, Georgia.; her sisters, Valerie Borders (Norah) of Gainesville, Vanessa Thompson of Gainesville Georgia and Laura Zachary (Ronnie) of Atlanta, Georgia.; her uncle Horace'Baby Sugg'Thompson of Baltimore Maryland; and her aunt April Diane Hood of Athens, Georgia.. She is also survived by Ten Grandchildren, one Great grandchild along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
