He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Redl Schardl and Albert Schardl; and his sisters, Ann Schardl and Eleanor Corriveau. He is survived by: his daughter Alison Schardl of Tallahassee; his son-in-law Larry Rice of Tallahassee; his son TivonSchardl Drukker of Austin; his daughters-in-law, Dana Morse Drukker of Austin and Christopher Schardl of Lexington; his son Nicholas Schardl of Gainesville; his daughter-in-law Tamra Greeson-Schardl of Gainesville; his sister Elizabeth Percy of South Windsor; his brother-in-law James Percy of South Windsor; his sister Frances Lecco of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Anisa Schardl of Northampton, Tao Benjamin Schardl of Cambridge, Evan Drukker-Schardl of Baltimore and Stuart Schardl of Gainesville; his great grandchildren, Geordie Hine and Alistair Schardl; and also, Kuey of Lexington and Chen of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local charity, or to Florida Youth Orchestra, Renaissance Institute of Music or The People's Music School.
