He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Bryant and Clarissa Butler Bryant Hanie. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Bryant of Gainesville; his children, Greg Bryant of Gainesville, Greta Meehan of Greenville, SC and Gretchen Bryant of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Breanna, Mark Ellis of Alto, Gregory, Tabitha Bryant of Gainesville, Joseph Meehan of Fountain Inn, SC and Hannah Meehan of Fountain Inn, SC; his great grandchildren, Maci Ellis of Alto, Samson Bryant of Gainesville and Caleb Bryant of Gainesville; and his sisters, Mary Jo Dowdy of Cleveland, Martha (Sammy Martin) and Joan Hulsey of Gainesville.
