He is survived by: his parent Nora Elizabeth Knott Smith; his daughters, Robin Cole of West Point, Beverly Simmons (Bill), Martha McCormick (James), Susan McCormick (Darnell Williams) and Rebecca Woodard (Charles); and his sister Rosa Soles of Newnan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
