She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelms and Mildred Toney Nelms; her husbands, James Edward Harris, Sr. and Billy Frank Kiser, Sr.; her daughter Sharon P. Leonard; and her siblings, J. W. Nelms, Jimmy Nelms, Thomas Nelms, Ann Powell and Connie Davis.
She is survived by: her children, James Harris (Susan) of Franklin, Mike Harris (Carol) of Franklin and Debbie Jackson (Andy) of Centralhatchee; her sister Kathy Pike (Larry) of Franklin; and her grandchildren, Renae Taylor (Troy), Stephanie Shorter, Jim Harris (Jamie), Johnathan Harris (Angie), Jennifer Honeycutt (Bob), Christy Scarborough (Howard), Catherine Hodge (Angela), Kevin Scott and Casey Merrill (Daphne). She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and an abundance of beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (2227 Mt Pleasant Rd, Franklin, GA 30217). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
