She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond C. L. McRae and Annie Mae Strickland McRae; her husband Walter Ellis Brewer, Sr; and her siblings, Raymond B. McRae, Lois Faulkner and Shirley Ann Mashburn.
She is survived by: her sons, Walter Brewer Jr, Freddy Smith Jr and Raymond Dale Smith; her stepson Bobby Brewer; and her sisters, Reba Langley and Marie McRae. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
