She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Kitchens and Florence Nelms Kitchens; her husband Douglas Morris Kirk; her son Kenneth Kirk; and her siblings, Mary Arrington, Ethel Lee Page, Zora Mae Toney, Rozelle Hogg, Marie Trammell, Jean Gordon, Walton, Byron Kitchens and Talmadge Kitchens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Jackson (Carlton Dewey) of Bowdon and Kelly Mantle (Ron) of Franklin; her sister-in-law Jean Kitchens of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Christy Spates (Steve), Cathy Nelson (Jason Wall), Matt Jackson (Carla), Justin Mantle (Madison) and Robert Mantle; her great grandchildren, Regan Brantley (Sean), Brandon Nelson, Kayla Cook, Macie Elsbree (Jake), Sage Jackson and Hampton Mantle; and her great great grandchildren, Harlow and Liam. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Katie. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 1034 Franklin, GA 30217.
