She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Kilgore and Marie Kilgore (Parr); and her sister-in-law Henrietta Kilgore. She is survived by: her husband Joe Whittemore; her former husband James Herman Johnson, Jr.; her children, Jay (Dawn), Bill (Kristi) and Lisa Marie Brown (Zachary); her grandchildren, Hannah, Emme, Ryan, Tate, Zachary, Ellis Marie, Hudson and Fitz Griffin; and her brother Ronnie Kilgore. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
